HoTboxTM Demonstrator
The HoTbox™ Demonstrator is a complete solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) demonstration system with a 500W HoTbox™ as its core. The system runs on natural gas, and the SOFConnex™ based stack operates at 750°C. This complete system is fully autonomous with a lead-acid battery for grid-independent start-up, UPS functionality, and for surge coverage. The system also includes an integrated panel personal computer with customized software, control system, low temperature insulation, and packaging. It has also been designed for easy stack accessibility for maintenance.
Dantherm Power has integrated the HoTbox™ into their proprietary micro-Combined Heat and Power (CHP) system. The densly integrated functionalities of the HoTbox™ allow the system to be very compact, important criteria for the installation in several markets.
